She/Her/Hers
Hi everyone! I'm the Community Coordinator for 1st Hunt and am excited about the year ahead. This will be my 8th year on 1st Hunt and my 22nd year at NCSSM! I live on campus with Kelley (my wife), Garrecyn (our 11 year old daughter), and Willow the pup! My goal is continuing to build a community where everyone feels welcomed, we learn from each other, and we have a lot of fun along the way!
I also am the coordinator for Service Learning on the Durham campus! I am responsible for the service learning graduation requirement and provide opportunities to volunteer within the NCSSM and greater communities. I was the assistant women's volleyball coach for 17 years and have been the boys volleyball team head coach for 3 years.
I'm currently in pursuing my master's degree at UNC-G in public policy with a concentration in non-profit management. When I'm not CCing or in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending on campus events, and living our best life! I'm also a HUGE UNC fan - Go Heels!
I look forward to getting to know everyone throughout the year. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with any questions or concerns.
My name is Connor Skeels. I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with friends, eating, and going to church. Being an RLA, I am going to help the juniors ease into the new environment and be a role model for them to follow. Here at SSM, I am a 3 sport athlete (soccer, swimming, golf) and I am in the Mentorship 1 program. An interesting fact about myself is that I am responsible for 2/3 of the concussions on the soccer team and I like most types of music. I love watching golf whenever I can and being as competitive as possible. I look forward to meeting everyone on hall and feel free to come up and ask any questions! 1st Hunt forever!
Hey First Hunt! My name is Gilbert Herrada Luna, and I'm from Hayesville (think west, but then more west). I enjoy hiking, hanging out with friends, and exploring new things. At NCSSM, I participate in cultural clubs like LSU and SHPE, and even healthcare clubs like HOSA. As an RLA, I'm excited to build lasting connections with all of you. I wouldn't call myself an outgoing person, but I wouldn't say I'm too shy either. A fun fact about me is that I'm a dual national! I hope to help make this a great first year for our incoming juniors, and I can't emphasize how excited I am to meet the Class of 27!
PS - That's me on the left!
